Prizes on competition «Grand-Star of Russia 2009»

All-Russian “Grand-Star of Russia” Awards took place on the eve of the largest Russian and eastern European packaging exhibition “Rosupak 2009”. We’ll remind you that only its winners can represent Russia in the most prestigious international World Star Awards organized by World Packaging Organization.

Label printing-office of Ekotek Group, Ekotek LLC, won the prize in nomination “Food packaging” for the series of plates based on innovation composite material Walkilid™ created for “Lion King’s” products of fast preparation. (Walkilid™ is a composite material with paper base intended for food container’s covering).

Traditionally roll flexographic printing was used for this material. However offset printing used by Ekotek LLC was innovative and raised the printing quality in comparison with flexographic printing. In addition to this a special technology of high-precision finishing, considering the specificity of physico and mechanical features of the material, was created.

In such a way the developed technology allowed to master the process of producing high quality output based on composite materials in format of so-called long industrial printing run.
