About the Company

EKOTEK GROUP was established in 1997 in St. Petersburg (Russia) on the base of several private local Russian companies EKOTEK Ltd. ( established in 1991 ), HL&P Ltd. ( established in 1996 ), and EKOTEK-PLUS Ltd. ( established in 1997), all bound by joint shareholding. EKOTEK Ltd. (Russia, St. Petersburg), established in 1991 as a joint Russian-Finnish company, proved to be the more experienced and authoritative member of the group. In 1996 all shares of the joint Russian-Finnish company were acquired by today's holders, a group of Russia resident physical persons.


In 1999, EKOTEK-based MEGAPACK GROUP ( TRANSNATIONAL) was created. Today, MEGAPACK GROUP ( TRANSNATIONAL) operates in the following countries: Russia, Ukraine, Bela- rus, USA, Germany, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Italy, Finland, Israel, Turkey, Cyprus.


The strategic management of the group operations is effected by the Board of Directors. The general management of EKOTEK Group is effected by the President of EKOTEK Group - Dr. A. Zagorsky - elected by the Board of Directors of EKOTEK Group.
Lukin D.P., Onokhin S.A., Stepanischev S.V. are elected as Vice-Presidents of the Group of companies "EKOTEK".


Since 1998, EKOTEK Ltd., the core company of the Group, is a me- mber of the Chamber of Trade and Commerceof the Russian Federation and a member of Soyuzupak Association.


The company has won many Grand Prizes, gold medals and other professional awards at international and domestic packaging exhibitions.


Dan & Bradstreet International Business Database rates the ge- neral and financial condition of EKOTEK Ltd. as "good, low risk" (D&B Business Report, 01 December, 2000).


Today, the companies of the Group specialize in the following spheres of business:
1. Development, Products and distribution of a wide range of packaging and goods promotion Products industry. 2. Production and distribution of packaging Products. 3. Production and distribution of packaging materials. 4. Distribution of specific raw materials to meet the demand of the food and printing industries. 5. Distribution of packaging and product-marking equipment.


Business activity of the Group is performed through five key Com- mercial Departments:

• Department of label and goods promotion Products.
• Department of packaging Products.
• Department of packaging materials.
• Department of deliveries and service of packaging equipment.
• Department of sales of raw materials and ingredients.

Along with the above-mentioned key departments, the group has Administrative Accounting, International Economic Relations, Production, Reconstruction, Marketing and Logistics Departments, Department of Economic Security, Cargo Customs Clearance service, Shipping Agency, and Truck Depot.


All structural subdivisions of the Group of companies are integrated into four divisions: ALPHA, BETA, GAMMA, DELTA and EPSILON.


The key content of the Group's business is systemic integration of foreign manufacturers of devising, Productsand deliveries of various Products demanded by the Russian market and in the mar- kets of other CIS countries and Baltic republics. Accordingly, we concentrate our efforts on the closest cooperation with world leaders of certain packaging Products. As the entire business concept of the Group members is clearly customer-focused, all the diversity of profiles of the companies working within the framework of the Group is brought to one effective vector. This is well seen from the fact that about 85% of the volume of the Group's sales falls on manufacturers of drinks, 58% of the volume of sales being con- centrated on 11 leading breweries and alcohol-free drinks manu- facturers.


Thus main effort of the companies of the Group is centered on com- posite deliveries of raw materials, packaging products, packaging materials and equipment to the enterprises of CIS countries and Baltic republics.
